If enabled by your organization, time off requests can be submitted within Workforce Management via the Prism Employee Portal.
Employee Web Portal
- Log into the Prism Employee Portal at https://ess.xeniumhr.com.
- Select the Workforce Management menu option on the left-hand menu. The Workforce Management account will open in a new browser window.
- Select the Time Off menu option under My Portal.
- Available time off balances recorded in Prism will display at the top of the Time Off screen and will be reduced by any future-dated time off requests that have already been approved by a manager.
- Additional views are available in tabs in the center of the Time Off screen to display Requests, Upcoming Time Off, Time Off History, and Balance.
- Select Request Time Off to submit a new request.

Select a time off type from the drop down (example: PTO, Sick, Vacation, Floating Holiday) and duration (Full Day, Half Day, or specific hours).
TIP! If submitting two time off requests for the same day, adjust the start time of each request so that the time off durations do not overlap. If overlapping occurs, your manager will be unable to Approve one of the requests.
- The request screen also displays the available balance.
- If configured for your organization, co-workers with time off requests at the same time as the request will display in the screen.
- Enter an optional comment that will be seen by your manager when reviewing the time off request if needed.
- Click Submit Request. Your manager will get an email notification that a pending time off request is pending.
- If approved, the request will appear in the Upcoming Time Off tab with a green Approved status.
- If denied it will appear as a red Denied status in the Time Off History tab.
Employee Mobile App
- Select
to open the menu.
- Select My Portal and then Time Off Requests.

Select My Time Off and then tap the green '+' symbol.
- Enter the New Time Off Request information.
- Type - Available Time Off Types
- Duration
- Date range
- Comments (optional)
- Select Submit Request.
A notification will appear at the top of the screen once the request is submitted successfully.
Time Off Request statuses:
• Pending - Awaiting manager approval
• Accepted - Request approved my manager
• Rejected - Request denied by manager
An app notification will be sent to your mobile device when the request status is updated.
Notifications will also appear while using the mobile app.
